update 24 july, 2010: on the road, until further notice. where i’ll be at next term, if all goes well.
… so there can be somewhat of an idea of what the hell i’m talking about. it takes me about a half hour or forty minutes to walk from my house, on the far top right, to work, on the far bottom left, depending on how much snow there is in the streets. i cut out the rest of town, because i don’t really interact with it, though the Carrefour is to the north of my house, about a twenty minute walk. the bus and train stations are literally just off the map, across from my school.
this is the medieval center of town, according to the tourist office. the black dot on the north of the rynek is cafe hybryda, where i spend my life. ul. Walowa, around the northern side of the old town, was the site of a defensive wall, which is why it is curved like that. the rynek, or town square, is on a plateau, so there are frigid winds and nice views.
